2024 MUD BOG RULES AND REGULATIONS

THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY

READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING ENTRY FORM AS IT IS A BINDING AGREEMENT

HAMPSHIRE COUNTY FAIR (HCF)

In consideration of HCF, their owners, agents, officers, employees and other associates furnishing services, materials and/or equipment to enable me to participate in and allowing access to general admission to HCF, off road related group/club activities, or any other activities, scheduled or unscheduled I agree as follows.

I understand and acknowledge that; (a) risks and danger exist in the use of any motorized vehicle for off-road driving, general admission to HCF off-road related group/club activities, or other activities, scheduled or unscheduled of which I may partake as a part of, prior to, or after participation in the present event; (B) my participation in such activities and/or use of such equipment may result in injury or illness including, but not limited to bodily injury, disease, strains, fractures, partial and/or total paralysis, death or other ailments that could cause serious disability; (C) these risk and dangers may be caused by the negligence of the owners, employees, officers, or agents of HCF, the negligence of the participants the negligence of others, accidents, breaches of contract, the forces of nature or other causes; (D) these risks and dangers may arise from foreseeable causes; and (E) by my participation in these activities and/or use of equipment, I HEREBY ASSUME ALL RISKS AND DANGERS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSSES AND/OR DAMAGES, whether caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other conduct of the owners, agents, or officers of HCF.

I on behalf of myself, my personal representatives and my heirs, hereby voluntarily agree to release, waive, discharge, bold harmless, defend and indemnify HCF and their owners, agents, officers, employees and other associates from all claims, suits or causes of action for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services or otherwise which may arise out of my participation in these activities, which include but are not limited to general admission to HCF off-road related group/club activities, or any other activities scheduled or unscheduled. I specifically understand that I am waiving and forever releasing and discharging HCF and their owners, agents, officers, or employees from any and all claims or causes of action that I may have presently or which may arise in the futures. This waiver and release is effective for all acts, negligent or otherwise, and conduct by HCF and their owners, agents, officers, or employees.

I agree that, should any claim or action arise from my participation as described herein, including any issue as to the applicability of this release or any provision contained within it, proper jurisdiction and venue will lie only Hampshire County West Virginia and I waive venue anywhere else.

I HAVE READ THE ABOVE WAIVER AND RELEASE AND BY SIGNING REGISTRATION ENTRY FORM THAT I AGREE IT IS MY INTENTION TO EXEMPT AND RELIEVE HCF FROM INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR WRONGFUL DEATH CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER CAUSE.

TRAIL STOCK: Tire size up to 34.5” DOT. Must have factory cab, frame and front end. All exhaust must be down from engine. Single carb (gas or diesel only). Engine must be entirely stock. Class entry fee – $20.00

TRAIL MODIFIED: Tire size up to 35” and up DOT. Must have factory cab, frame and front end. Single carb. V8’s in full size vehicles only. Engine must be entirely stock except for exhaust, stock 4-barrel intake and carb. Class entry fee – $20.00

SUPER STOCK: Tire size up to 38.5” DOT. Must have factory cab and frame. Single Carb. Gas or Diesel only – fuel will be checked. No 3 or 4 link – must be factory type springs. No aluminum heads less than 500 ci motor. Factory appearance body. No fiberglass racing bodies. Class entry fee – $20.00

SUPER STOCK MODIFIED: Tire size up to 39.5” DOT. Must have factory cab and frame. Single Carb. Gas or Diesel only – fuel will be checked. Aluminum heads allowed. 3 & 4 link allowed. . No fiberglass racing bodies. Factory appearance body. Class entry fee – $20.00

MODIFIED: Tire size up to 44” DOT. Must have factory-oriented body and frame. Single Carb. Gas, Diesel or Alcohol. No Nitrous, No Rails. Class entry fee – $20.00

OVER 3 SECOND CLASS: If you run under 3 seconds in Open or Cut class you will be automatically disqualified for the over 3 sec. Class.

  • Cut Class: Tire size up to 44”. No paddles. Any frame or fuel modifications. Entry fee – $30.00
  • PADDLE/OPEN CLASS: Tire size up to 44”. Entry fee – $30.00

Same drive/same vehicle can enter more than once per class. Up to 2 entries max.

This is for Open and Cut class only. No tires over 44”.

Anyone wanting to be in the Hampshire County Fair Parade on July 25, 2024, is asked to show up before 6 p.m. for lineup.

The parade will start promptly at 6:30 p.m.

The parade lineup will begin at 6 p.m. on Sol Shanholtz Rd., .04 mile in Augusta, WV. Any marching group will line up at the Augusta Branch of The Bank of Romney. The parade will go west on Rt. 50 to the fairgrounds. Large vehicles will line up at Jean’s Bar & Grill, formerly Doodle’s Restaurant.

Please be aware:

Any entered Farm Tractors are limited to a driver ONLY – no other occupants will be allowed on the tractor.

Any 4-wheeler drivers in parade must be 18-years-old, possess a valid W.Va. driver’s license, wear a helmet and there may be no other riders on the 4-wheeler.
