Schedule of Events

Wait till you read the calendar of events for the 2017 Hampshire County Fair (July 22-30). It’s the best collection of music, song and comedy ever brought to the fairgrounds. Put these days on your calendar, rest up, put a couple of extra bucks in your pocket for cold drinks, wear comfortable shoes, and come ready to have a great time!

July 22

  • Barn Cleanup 8 a.m. – finished
  • Exhibitors actively participating may sign up for pens after cleanup

July 23

  • Adminssion: FREE
  • Enter animals 6 a.m. – noon
  • Exhibitor and parent meeting at the livestock arena 1-2 p.m.
  • Weigh-in for sheep, goats, cattle and hogs 6 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Enter 4-H exhibits and livestock photos in 4-H exhibit building 2-4 p.m.
  • Enter CEOS exhibits in CEOS building 2-6 p.m.
  • Enter crop exhibits in Crop Barn 2-6 p.m.
  • Optional animal clipping and fitting workshop 4-6 p.m.
  • Exhibitors barn dance 8-10 p.m.

July 24- Gate opens: 4:30 p.m.
Admission: $3 ages 10+
Rides: 6:30-10:30 p.m.
Ride Tickets: $12

  • FFA Alumni grooming contest 1 p.m.
  • Goat showmanship and judging followed by lamb showmanship and judging 4 p.m.
  • 4-H Exhibit Building open 5-9 p.m.
  • Miss Hampshire County and Miss Hampshire County’s Outstanding Teen pageant on stage 7 p.m.

July 25 –Gate opens: 4:30 p.m.
Admission: $3 ages 10+
Rides: 6:30-10:30 p.m.
Ride Tickets: $12

  • Hog showmanship and judging 9 a.m.
  • Calf showmanship and judging 4 p.m.
  • 4-H Exhibit Building open 5-9 p.m.
  • Little Hampshire prince and princess pageant on stage 6:30 p.m.

July 26 – Gate opens: 4:30 p.m.

Rides: 6:30-10:30 p.m.

July 29 – Gate opens: 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; closed 2-3:30 p.m.; reopens 3:30 p.m.
